Liana Luxe Glow started because too many people in Nairobi were spending real money on products that were wrong for their skin — and sometimes on products that were actively damaging it.
Walk through town and you will find skin lightening creams sold openly, in familiar packaging, promising results in days. Many contain mercury or prescription-strength steroids. They do lighten skin — by thinning it, damaging the barrier, and causing rebound darkening that is worse than where you started.
We built this business around the opposite approach. Gentle, well-studied ingredients. Realistic timelines. Sunscreen as the foundation of everything. And a conversation before the sale, not after it.

Four things we will not compromise on
Safety before sales
We do not stock mercury or steroid-based lightening creams, however often we are asked for them. If you are using one, we will help you come off it safely instead of selling you something else.
Honest timelines
Dark marks take eight to twelve weeks to soften, not three days. We say so up front, because managing expectations is the difference between a routine that gets followed and one that gets abandoned.
Formulated for our skin
Everything we stock is assessed for how it behaves on deeper skin tones and in a hot, high-UV climate. Sunscreen that leaves a grey cast does not make it onto the shelf.
Fewer, better products
Most people need four products, not fourteen. We would rather you bought less and used it consistently than filled a drawer with half-finished bottles.
